Rules of the Raid

Each class has an expected role to play and that is not necessarily how you like/prefer to play.

Even the most solo player will have to at some point join a fellowship to run Skirmishes, Instances, Raids or Big Battles. It is exactly at that point where many misunderstandings can happen. So here's some basic etiquette for a pleasant stroll with kinnies inside the most dangerous places in middle-earth.

Requirments for raiding

  • 2 Gold minimum for emergency supplies and repairs
  • Virtures to max (19 current cap)
  • Wond, Disease, Poison & Fear Potions (50 each)
  • Cooked Food (50 each)
  • Campfire Kits (50)
  • Battle & Warding Lore Scrolls (50 each)
  • Hope Tokens (50)
  • Repair Anval (if you have the recipie)
  • Headset **REQUIRED**
  • Appropriate class spicific supplies:

Bow Chants, Fire & Light Oils, Lute Strings, Spikes, Traps, Marbles, Horns, etc.

 Loot Rules
On kin runs we do not use DKP (Dragon Kill Points), SL (Suicide List), EPGP (Effort Points/Gear Points).

For our kin runs we use - Need/Greed/Pass

  1. NEED-- If you need a specific item from a drop.
  2. GREED-- Being just plain GREEDY.
  3. PASS -- Enough said.
  4. Do not roll on a "Bind on Aquire" item if you don't need it/can't use it.

If a fellowship member says they "Need" a specific drop everyone please be considerate and let them have it. If 2 or more need specific items than use the Master Looter method

MASTER LOOTER

  1. -- This option is used only when a rare/specific item(s) is being sought & can be implemented during a run & must be announced to the group.
  2. The raid leader ask everyone to roll for items they want. Which is "/roll"
  3. The raid leader will give each specific item to the member with the highest roll.
  4. Specific items may be given to specific members of the run. This must be known to everyone before the instance starts.

Fellowship etiquette

Everyone:

  1. Stay close to the group
  2. Know who is tanking
  3. Avoid aggroing the mobs
  4. Ask about the role you are expected to play
  5. Ask about boss tactics
  6. Pay attention to the fellowship chat window/voice chat(headset)
  7. Be polite & show respect towards fellow players
  8. Listen to the Fellowship/Raid leader
  9. Most importantly HAVE FUN

Experets:

  1. Remember you were once a beginner too
  2. Help explain the expected roles to beginners when asked/needed
  3. Share your knowledge of the area and bosses when asked/needed

Raid/Fellowship Leader:

  1. Explain the expected roles
  2. Lead the way but don't impose the rithym
  3. Share your knowledge of the area and bosses
  4. NEVER kick someone out just because the player keeps dying or aggroing, talk to the player first, explain & help

Keep in mind that people have different connections, computer performances, play style & family around...and all of these may cause some interference while playing in groups. So be kind and understanding with your fellowship and remember you are all there to enjoy the game and have fun.
